A prospective study evaluates the feasibility and safety of AI-assisted pre-consultation history-taking in outpatient cardiology.

The study involves 60 adults attending a first or new cardiology consultation at two London hospitals, who will be invited to use an AI interviewer before their appointment.

The AI interviewer creates a written summary for the cardiologist, which is then checked and verified by the treating cardiologist.

Independent physicians review all concerning cases and a random sample to assess the accuracy and safety of the AI-generated summaries.
